Youāve seen the pics on Pinterest of the easy peach cobbler, right?Ā Well I decided to try my hand at making them for dessert tonight.Ā We had just finished eating my easy crock pot pepper steak and I had high hopes for this cobbler.Ā
Hereās what you need:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 dash salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 stick melted butter
- 1 can peaches pie filling, diced
- Cinnamon to taste
- Brown sugar to taste
The recipe I used actually called for 2 cans of peaches but I apparently didnāt read that closely when I was buying the ingredients so thatās how I ended up with the peach pie filling.Ā What can I say, things happen.Ā haha!!!
Hereās what you do:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Put 1 tsp of melted butter into each regular-sized muffin tin
Combine the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk by hand
Put 2 T of batter into each muffin tin on top of the melted butter
Next, put 1 T of the diced peaches on top of the batter in each tin
Sprinkle with the brown sugar and cinnamon to taste
Bake for 12 minutes
Now I must share a little secret.Ā I put too much butter in about 1/2 of the tins.Ā Again, I *thought* I had read the directions to sayĀ 1 T of butter when in fact, it is 1 tsp of butter.Ā I didnāt panic or start over.Ā I just went with it and followed the rest of the directions.
I put them in the oven and then I thoughtā¦well they arenāt looking *right*.Ā I didnāt have any pics to compare them to so I just had to hope for the best.
Again, I apologize that my photography skills seem a little off lately.Ā I had the flash on and it made everything look so much brighter than it actually looked in person.Ā
Well I waited the 12 minutes and pulled them out.Ā They smelled so yummy and when we tried them I found out they turned out great!!! I was doing a ::happy dance:: I was so happy!Ā
Hereās the finished product.
Yes that is correct.Ā There are three mini cobblers on my plate.Ā Donāt judge me!Ā haha!!
